Independent Director
Mr. Shah is an independent director of Monterey Oil & Gas Corporation and is based in Houston. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of GT Titan Inc., a geothermal power development company focused on delivering baseload renewable energy from subsurface resources.
Mr. Shah brings more than 35 years of experience in corporate banking and energy finance, having held senior roles at Wells Fargo, GE Capital, Mizuho Bank, BNY Mellon, and Regions Bank, among others. His experience spans upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, power, and renewable energy sectors.
At Mizuho Bank, Mr. Shah led the Project Finance and Energy Group and completed more than $2.5 billion of transactions globally. Throughout his career, he has structured and negotiated complex financings, including term sheets, credit agreements, commercial contracts, and project documentation for large-scale energy developments.
Mr. Shah began his banking career at Mellon Bank, where he completed its credit training program and joined the Acquisition Finance Group. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on energy finance and capital markets topics.
Mr. Shah holds an MBA from Indiana University, Bloomington, with concentrations in finance and quantitative business analysis, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Louisville, and a B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
