Vice President, Chief Development Engineer

Bob is Monterey’s Chief Development Engineer. He is principally responsible for PUD reserve development, overseeing new drilling activity, and assisting in technical due diligence in connection with Monterey acquisitions. Bob started his career at Getty Oil Company and subsequently at Texaco. There he specialized in thermal recovery, hydraulic fracturing, and cogeneration development. During his last five years with Texaco, he was District Engineer in the company’s office in Bakersfield where he was responsible for evaluation and development engineering throughout the San Joaquin Valley and other California producing areas. Bob subsequently joined Mission Resources as Vice President of Energy Development concentrating on developing the company’s diatomite properties in the Belridge Field, Kern County, and other interests throughout the United States. Mission Resources was at that time one of the largest independent producers in California. In 1990, Bob co-founded Bakersfield Energy, who owned,  developed, and operated various oil properties in Kern County. Bob sold Bakersfield Energy to Seneca Resources in 2000. In 2010, Bob came out of semi-retirement to head All American Oil & Gas, Inc., and its subsidiary, Kern River Holdings, as President. He directed the EOR development of 220 acres of the Kern River Field increasing production from 25 barrels per day in 2010 to approximately 2,200 barrels per day, and set the stage for production to achieve 3,000+ barrels per day by year-end 2017. Bob holds a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University. He is a member of the American Petroleum Institute, the California Independent Producers Association, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
