Senior Vice President, Engineering Advisory
Bob Shore is Monterey’s senior technical advisor and supports operations, due diligence, technical evaluation, and valuation acquisitions opportunities. He has extensive experience in reservoir engineering and field development, with particular expertise in thermal recovery, hydraulic fracturing, and cogeneration.
Mr. Shore held engineering and technical roles at Getty Oil Company and Texaco, where he served as District Engineer in Bakersfield with responsibility for development engineering across the San Joaquin Valley and other California producing regions.
He later served as Vice President of Energy Development at Mission Resources, focusing on the development of diatomite assets in the Belridge Field in Kern County, California. He subsequently co-founded Bakersfield Energy, which developed and operated oil properties in Kern County, and was later sold to Seneca Resources at approximately two times invested capital.
In 2010, Mr. Shore was appointed President of All American Oil & Gas, Inc., and its subsidiary, Kern River Holdings, where he led enhanced oil recovery development in the Kern River Field, increasing production from approximately 2,200 barrels per day to over 3,000 barrels per day by year-end 2017.
Mr. Shore holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University. He is a member of the American Petroleum Institute, the California Independent Producers Association, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
