He has over 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry focused in the exploration/production phase, specializing in financial review, economic feasibility review, operating statement review and economic forecasting. Kurt’s financial analysis abilities have early beginnings when he and his wife owned a residential/commercial mortgage company in the NE Tarrant County corridor of Ft. Worth, Texas. In early 2006, Kurt along with three other partners formed a small oil and gas exploration company drilling several successful producing oil and gas wells in North Central Texas. That successful business involved other activities to include acquisition of non-producing assets, cost and up-side forecasting and investment returns associated with these assets. The company also completed successful negotiations with Barnett Shale producers for SWD facilities that the company had developed. That company was bought out in 2012. The business relationships developed while operating the assets led to other avenues in the oil and gas business, to include financing platforms, everywhere from conventional bank financing to private equity placements, private investor presentations, and working interest sales and equity purchases and sales. Kurt graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BS in Agricultural Economics. After graduation, he entered the USAF undergraduate pilot training and flew fighter aircraft for 11 years. Following that Kurt flew for American Airlines for 21 years the last seven as Captain. After early retirement Kurt got back into the ranching business, at one time managing over 850 head of cattle and horse herds to compliment that operation while still providing oil and gas asset sales, purchase, and mergers consulting and with both enterprises continuing today.
